Library training: “Secure and retain your rights”, April 18, 2016
When you publish a book or paper usually you give away your rights (intellectual property) to publishers that will forbid you to post your work in your own website or online archive; copy the work for distribution; make a derivative works, etc.
A copyright is actually a bundle of rights. You don’t have to give away all your rights to the publishers. There are a number of other options available.
In this training we will discuss:
- Creative Commons
- Publisher agreements
- Model Agreement addenda & Licences
Training will be delivered on April 18 2016 at 10.30am – 12.00 pm in Miombo Meeting Room.
